Sentinel Dome is a granite dome rising to 2,476 meters, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite Valley. The relatively short trail (3.6km round trip with 125m elevation gain) makes it a popular family destination. The dome was once home to the famous Jeffrey pine photographed by Ansel Adams, which fell in 2003.
