Santa Maria della Salute is a stunning Baroque church built to commemorate the end of the 1630 plague. Its massive dome dominates the entrance to the Grand Canal and has become one of Venice's most photographed buildings. The interior contains paintings by Titian and Tintoretto. Every November 21, a pontoon bridge is built for the Festa della Salute celebration.
