Salzburg Residenz
The Residenz served as the seat of Salzburg's prince-archbishops for over 500 years and ranks among Europe's grandest baroque palaces. The magnificent state rooms feature stunning ceiling frescoes, massive crystal chandeliers, and porcelain stoves. Young Mozart performed here for wealthy clergy. Today visitors can explore 15 opulent rooms and the Residenzgalerie with works by Rembrandt and Rubens.
