Salthill Promenade
Salthill Promenade is a 2-kilometer coastal path along Galway Bay, one of Ireland's most popular walks. The famous local tradition is to 'kick the wall' at the end of the promenade before turning back. The area features a swimming beach, sea swimming pools, and parks. At sunset, the area transforms into an artistic canvas with stunning colors. In summer, the promenade fills with locals and tourists enjoying the fresh air and views across to the Burren and Clare hills.
