A beautiful small monastery on a narrow rock that appears to defy gravity. One of two active convents in Meteora, run by nuns. The small Church of the Transfiguration is entirely decorated with 16th-century frescoes. The hanging gardens, views of neighboring monasteries, and dramatic rock formations make it the most photographed monastery.
