Roman Forum
The Roman Forum in Zadar is the largest Roman forum in Croatia at 45 by 90 meters, even larger than the one in Pula. Built between the 1st century BC and 3rd century AD, it served as the main center of public, commercial, and religious life. Original pavement remains, column bases, remnants of temples to Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva, and the medieval Pillar of Shame still stand. The site is freely accessible 24 hours a day with no gates or tickets required. Located right beside the Church of St Donatus, the two sites make a natural pair for historical exploration spanning from Roman to Byzantine eras
