Rockefeller Archaeological Museum
The Rockefeller Archaeological Museum is one of the most important archaeology museums in the Middle East, housed in a white stone building constructed in 1938 with funding from John Rockefeller Jr. It contains over 60,000 artifacts from excavations in Mandatory Palestine. The building itself is an architectural gem with a beautiful inner courtyard and fountain. The museum once housed the Dead Sea Scrolls before they were moved to the Israel Museum.
