Prasat Suor Prat
Prasat Suor Prat is a series of twelve towers built from laterite and sandstone, spanning north to south along the eastern side of the Royal Square in Angkor Thom. The name translates to 'towers of the rope dancers,' referring to a local legend about acrobats performing on ropes between the towers. Other theories suggest they were used for settling legal disputes or as reception halls for royal guests. Dating from the 11th-12th century, they remain among the most mysterious structures in Angkor.
