Potrerillos is a mountain village about an hour from Mendoza city and the region's adventure hub. Set on the shores of a turquoise reservoir surrounded by the Andes, the village offers white-water rafting on the Mendoza River (Class 2-4), zip-lining, hiking, and horseback riding. The drive from Mendoza is stunning in itself, passing through the Uspallata Valley toward the High Andes.

Best for rafting November-March when river flow is ideal. Summer (Dec-Feb) is warmest. The area is beautiful year-round for scenic drives and hiking. Many operators offer combo packages with zip-lining and rafting.
