Plaza de la Revolución
Plaza de la Revolución is one of the largest squares in the world at 72,000 square meters, the place where Fidel Castro held many of his political rallies to crowds of up to a million people. The square is dominated by the José Martí Memorial featuring a 109-meter tall tower and an 18-meter statue. The northern side of the square is famous for the huge mural of Che Guevara on the Ministry of Interior with the words 'Hasta la victoria siempre' (Always Toward Victory). In 2009, a similar image of Camilo Cienfuegos was added on the adjacent building.
