Piazza Tasso
Piazza Tasso is the beating heart of Sorrento, named after the famous Italian poet Torquato Tasso born here in 1544. It sits above a deep gorge where a river once flowed. Surrounded by historic buildings, cafes, and shops, it features the Baroque Church del Carmine and the statue of patron saint Sant'Antonino. In the evening it transforms into a lively hub for the traditional Italian passeggiata stroll.
