People's Park is the largest and oldest urban park in Urumqi, established in 1755 and expanded in 1918. Features a large lake with paddle boats, traditional Chinese pavilions including Danfeng Chaoyang Pavilion and Dragon King Temple, and a statue of Ji Yun, an 18th-century Qing scholar who documented Xinjiang life.
