The People's History Museum is the UK's national centre for the collection, conservation, interpretation and study of material relating to the history of working people in the UK. The museum tells the story of democracy from the 1819 Peterloo Massacre to the present day. Housed in a Grade II listed former hydraulic pumping station, it stands as a testament to the city's industrial past.
