Peleș Castle is a Neo-Renaissance masterpiece and one of Europe's most beautiful palaces, built 1873-1914 as King Carol I's summer residence. It features 160 rooms decorated in various styles from Baroque to Oriental, with stunning collections of weapons, paintings, and stained glass. Set amid Carpathian forests, it was one of the first European palaces with electricity and central heating.
