Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel
The Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel is San Miguel de Allende's most iconic symbol, featuring distinctive pink 'wedding cake' towers that soar above the town. The neo-Gothic facade was designed by indigenous stonemason Zeferino Gutiérrez in the late 19th century, reportedly based on a postcard of a Belgian church. The underlying structure is Mexican Baroque. The church is one of Mexico's most photographed attractions, especially stunning at sunset.
