Palazzo Pubblico

Palazzo Pubblico is the town hall and official seat of government of the Republic of San Marino, overlooking Piazza della Liberta. Built in neo-Gothic style between 1884-1894 by Roman architect Francesco Azzurri, it replaced an earlier 14th-century building. The palace hosts the installation ceremony of the Captains Regent every six months (April 1 and October 1). Inside, visitors can explore the Grand Council Chamber, Hall of Congress and Audiences, and enjoy views from the tower terrace.
