The Oude Kerk is Amsterdam's oldest building, dating back to 1306. Located in the heart of the Red Light District, it creates a unique contrast between the sacred and the secular. Originally a Catholic church, it later became Protestant. Today it hosts contemporary art exhibitions and concerts. Its floor is paved with historic gravestones, and Rembrandt's wife Saskia is buried here.
