Ottoman Old Town
Travnik's old town is a living museum of Ottoman architecture, featuring historic mosques, traditional Ottoman houses, and an 18th-century Ottoman clock tower. This is where Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić was born in 1892 - you can visit his birthplace museum. The area includes the colorful Sulejmanija Mosque (1757), several Ottoman-era tombs, and traditional cafes serving Bosnian coffee. Narrow cobblestone alleys preserve the atmosphere of centuries past, making it one of Bosnia's best-preserved Ottoman towns.
