Located along the famous Karl Johans gate, it is used by the Norwegian royal family and government for public events. The cathedral features 20th-century painted ceilings, a 19th-century church organ, and a Baroque tower facade. Free organ concerts are held on Wednesdays and Fridays at midday. Entry is free and open to visitors most weekdays.
