Orang Asli Village
Visiting the Orang Asli Village offers a unique opportunity to learn about Malaysia's indigenous people who have lived in these rainforests for thousands of years. The Batek tribe is the indigenous group found in Jeram Dedari within the National Park, where about 10-15 families live in the largest settlement near the Tembeling River. They still largely survive through hunting and gathering, with their diet consisting of jungle fruits, yams, fish, and small animals hunted with blowpipes and poison darts. Visitors can experience interactive demonstrations of blowpipe shooting and traditional fire-making. Their homes are small huts made of twisted leaves and rattan. Tours are conducted respectfully to preserve their culture and way of life.
