Old Melbourne Gaol, built in 1845, is one of Australia's oldest surviving prisons and offers a chilling glimpse into colonial criminal justice history. Within these walls, 133 prisoners were executed, including the infamous outlaw Ned Kelly in 1880. Visitors can explore the original cells, see Kelly's death mask and armor, and participate in spine-tingling night ghost tours.
