Old Bazaar
The Old Bazaar (Stara Carsija) is the largest bazaar in the Balkans outside Istanbul, serving as a center of trade and commerce since the 12th century. Located on the eastern bank of the Vardar River, this historic district features roughly 30 mosques, caravansaries, hamams, and a clock tower. The narrow cobblestone streets are lined with traditional craftsmen shops, cafes, and restaurants serving authentic Macedonian cuisine.
