Ohori Park
Ohori Park, modeled after West Lake in Hangzhou, China, centers around a beautiful lake that was originally a moat for Fukuoka Castle in the early 1600s. Visitors can walk the entire lake circumference (about 2 km) and venture to three islands in the center via traditional Japanese stone bridges. The park features a Japanese garden (paid entry), Noh theater, swan paddle boats, and lakeside restaurants and cafes. It's a beloved green oasis in the heart of the city, perfect for jogging, picnicking, and watching wild birds. The park dates back to 1929.
