Nubra Valley, known as the 'Valley of Flowers', lies beyond Khardung La Pass (one of world's highest motorable roads at 5,359 m). Features cold desert sand dunes at Hunder, Bactrian camels, and border village Turtuk. Diskit Monastery houses a 32m tall Maitreya Buddha statue.
