Notre-Dame Cathedral

Notre-Dame Cathedral is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Luxembourg, originally built as a Jesuit church with its cornerstone laid in 1613. The late Gothic architecture features Renaissance elements, and the crypt serves as the final resting place of John the Blind, King of Bohemia and Count of Luxembourg, as well as members of the Grand Ducal family. The revered statue of the Consoler of the Afflicted, patroness of Luxembourg, draws pilgrims annually.
