Travel Tips

Useful tips for visiting Northern Lights Tours

Check aurora forecast apps for predictions. Dress extremely warm for polar night conditions. Book tours with guarantee/refund policy if no sighting. Clear skies are essential for viewing.

Best by car from Murmansk to escape city light pollution. Tours drive 50-100 km into the tundra. Public transport not suitable as aurora appears at night when buses don't run.

Best time September to March, peak activity in February. Polar night (December-January) ideal with 24-hour darkness. Kp index should be 3 or higher for good visibility.
