Normandy American Cemetery
The Normandy American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer contains the graves of 9,387 American soldiers who died during WWII. Spanning 70 hectares overlooking Omaha Beach, the site features perfectly aligned rows of white crosses and Stars of David. The visitor center offers interactive exhibits about the Normandy campaign. Beginning in 2026, a reservation system will be introduced to prevent overcrowding. Daily ceremonies are held and staff can locate specific graves upon request.
