Nokonoshima Island Park
Nokonoshima Island Park is a 150,000-square-meter natural flower garden and activity park on the northern tip of Nokonoshima Island in Hakata Bay, about an hour from central Fukuoka. Flowers are carefully cultivated to ensure something blooms every month: rapeseed, cherry blossoms, and poppies in spring; sunflowers in summer; 30,000 cosmos in autumn (early October to early November); and Japanese daffodils in winter. Activities include a petting zoo with goats and rabbits, pottery workshops, a 9-hole mini golf course, and summer camping. The park offers stunning views of Hakata Bay and the opportunity to pick flowers from mid-May to late August.
