New Cathedral of Cuenca
The New Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception dominates Cuenca's skyline with its distinctive blue domes visible from anywhere in the city. Construction began in 1885 and continued for over 100 years, blending Romanesque and Gothic styles. The interior accommodates over 8,000 worshippers and features imported German stained glass and Italian marble. Visitors can climb to the domes for breathtaking panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.
