Neptune Fountain
Neptune Fountain is the most iconic symbol of Gdansk, standing in the heart of Long Market square in front of Artus Court. Built between 1606 and 1633 in Flemish Mannerist style designed by Abraham van den Blocke, it depicts the sea god Neptune holding his trident. Rococo elements were added in the 18th century, giving it its current ornate appearance. The fountain operates with water from May to October and is beautifully illuminated in the evening. It serves as a popular meeting point and a favorite photo spot for tourists and locals alike. According to local legend, the golden water flowing from Neptune's trident turned into the famous Gdansk goldwasser liqueur
