The National Pantheon is a historic building originally a Jesuit church built in 1747. Converted into a pantheon in 1958, it houses the remains of Dominican national heroes including the founding fathers. The interior features a magnificent chandelier, eternal flame, and murals depicting national history. An honor guard stands at the entrance paying tribute to the fallen heroes.
