National Library of Latvia - Castle of Light
The National Library of Latvia, known as the Castle of Light or Gaismaspils, opened in 2014 and is one of the most architecturally exciting modern buildings in Riga. Designed by renowned Latvian-American architect Gunnar Birkerts and named after a Latvian folk legend. Level 11 offers one of the best free panoramic views of Riga including the Old Town and river.
