National Gallery of Canada
The National Gallery of Canada is home to the country's largest art collection, featuring over 93,000 works spanning from medieval times to contemporary art. The iconic granite and glass building was designed by renowned architect Moshe Safdie and opened in 1988. Highlights include works by the Canadian Group of Seven, Inuit sculptures, and European art including pieces by Rembrandt, Monet, and Van Gogh. Don't miss the restored Rideau Street Chapel installed inside the building, and Louise Bourgeois' giant bronze spider 'Maman' outside the entrance.
