Museumsufer
The Museumsufer (Museum Embankment) is one of Europe's most prominent museum clusters, featuring 26 museums on both banks of the Main River. The area was developed in the 1980s by cultural politician Hilmar Hoffmann who transformed historic villas and built new museum structures. Notable museums include Museum Angewandte Kunst (Applied Arts), Deutsches Filmmuseum (German Film Museum), Deutsches Architekturmuseum (German Architecture Museum), and the world-renowned Städel Museum. The MuseumsuferTicket (€21 adults, €32 family) allows visits to 39 museums over two consecutive days. Free admission at many museums on the last Saturday of each month.
