Museum Rietberg
Museum Rietberg is Switzerland's only museum dedicated to non-European art, offering unique insights into global cultures. With a collection of 23,000 objects and 37,000 ethnographic photographs, the museum focuses on traditional and contemporary arts and cultures of Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania. The museum is also architecturally interesting — the modern extension known as the 'Emerald' runs mainly underground, designed by architects Alfred Grazioli and Adolf Krischanitz. Located in the beautiful Rieterpark, the grounds are worth exploring before or after your visit.
