How to Get There

Buses from Vladimir: departures every 30 minutes to Suzdal (45 minutes). In Suzdal: walk from center (Trading Rows) about 15 minutes along Pushkarskaya Street to museum. By taxi from center 5 minutes. Museum is on the bank of Kamenka River. Small parking available. Some exhibits only accessible in summer.

Useful tips for visiting Museum of Wooden Architecture

Enter peasant houses to see recreated 18th-19th century life. Especially beautiful at sunset when light gilds the wood. Winter adds magic with snow-covered log houses. Famous Cucumber Festival held every July.

Museum located on Suzdal outskirts by Kamenka River. 15-20 minute walk from center across scenic bridge. Can take taxi. Parking available near entrance.

Transfiguration Church from 1756 is main exhibit. Resurrection Church with tent-roofed bell tower. Windmills on the hill worked until 20th century. Inside houses find authentic utensils and furniture.
