Museum of the Bavarian Kings
The Museum of the Bavarian Kings tells the history of the Wittelsbach dynasty from its beginnings to the present day. Opened in September 2011 in a historic building on the shores of Alpsee Lake, directly opposite Hohenschwangau Castle. The museum displays precious items related to King Ludwig II and King Maximilian II, including royal garments, documents, and personal possessions. An excellent experience for understanding the background of the neighbouring royal castles. Can be visited without a guided tour, with an audio guide, or with a private guided tour. Children under 18 free admission.
