Ipiranga Museum
Ipiranga Museum (Museu Paulista) is one of Brazil's most important historical landmarks, located at the site where Prince Pedro declared Brazil's independence from Portugal in 1822. The majestic palace-like building houses a rich collection of over 450,000 objects telling the history of São Paulo and Brazil. It reopened in 2022 after a comprehensive 9-year restoration. The museum is surrounded by beautiful French-style Versailles gardens with fountains and expansive green spaces. The building itself is a stunning example of Italian Renaissance architecture.
