Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah
Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah is the largest madrasah in Central Asia, built 1851-1852 with 125 student cells around a massive courtyard. It stands beside the unfinished Kalta Minor minaret, which was planned to reach 70 meters before the khan died. Today the madrasah operates as the 'Orient Star' hotel where guests can sleep in original student cells. The ornate portal and blue tilework are among Khiva's most photogenic sights.
