Mount Olympus
Mount Olympus, also known as Chionistra, is the highest peak in Cyprus at 1,952 meters. It offers excellent hiking trails including the 14 km circular Atalanti Trail and the Artemis Trail with panoramic views across the entire island. In winter it transforms into a ski resort with four slopes managed by the Cyprus Ski Club offering equipment rentals and lessons. The actual summit hosts a British military radar station and is inaccessible to visitors. Troodos Square 5 km below provides hotels, restaurants and amenities.
