The Montreal Botanical Garden is one of the largest and most important botanical gardens in the world, spanning 75 hectares with over 22,000 plant species. The garden features 10 exhibition greenhouses and 30 thematic outdoor gardens including the Chinese Garden and Japanese Garden. The autumn Gardens of Light festival transforms the garden into an enchanting Chinese lantern display. Outdoor gardens are free from November to April.
