Montmartre
Montmartre is a historic hilltop neighborhood in Paris's 18th arrondissement, preserving the village atmosphere that attracted artists in the 19th and 20th centuries. It was home to legendary painters including Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Toulouse-Lautrec who frequented its cafés and studios. The district features Clos Montmartre vineyard from 1933, producing 500-1500 bottles annually, the legendary Moulin Rouge cabaret, and Musée de Montmartre in a former artist residence with gardens once tended by Renoir. An annual harvest festival takes place in October. Cobblestone streets and historic cafés create an authentic Parisian experience away from the city bustle.
