The magnificent baroque Mirabell Gardens are where the von Trapp children famously sang 'Do-Re-Mi' in The Sound of Music film. Built in 1606 by Prince-Archbishop Wolf Dietrich for his beloved, the palace now houses government offices but the gardens remain free to explore.
