Mirabell Palace and Gardens
The magnificent baroque Mirabell Gardens are where the von Trapp children famously sang 'Do-Re-Mi' in The Sound of Music film. Built in 1606 by Prince-Archbishop Wolf Dietrich for his beloved, the palace now houses government offices but the gardens remain free to explore. Features mythological statues, ornate fountains, the Dwarf Garden, and stunning views of Hohensalzburg Fortress across perfectly manicured flowerbeds.
