Merlion Park
Singapore's most famous national icon, a mythical statue with lion body and fish head standing 8.6m tall, spouting water from its mouth. The lion symbolizes Singapore's name origin 'Singapura', the fish tail represents its past as a fishing village. Created in 1972 and moved to current location in 2002. The park offers perfect views of Marina Bay, Marina Bay Sands and city skyline. Major tourist destination for souvenir photos.
