JK Memorial
The JK Memorial is a museum and mausoleum dedicated to Juscelino Kubitschek, the visionary president who founded Brasília and turned it from a dream into reality in less than four years. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the building features a sickle-shaped base and a giant statue of JK gazing over his creation. Inside, visitors can see JK's tomb, personal belongings, photographs, and the historic Galaxie car he used. The museum chronicles the incredible story of how this new capital was built in the middle of nowhere through sheer determination. The statue chamber with JK's remains offers a moving tribute to the man who changed Brazil's geography forever. A must-visit to understand Brasília's remarkable origin story.
