Mdina

Mdina, the Silent City, is Maltas ancient walled capital perched on a hill in the center of the island. Dating back over 4,000 years with Phoenician, Roman, Arab, and Norman influences, this fortified medieval town is one of Europes finest preserved examples of an ancient walled city. Cars are banned (except for residents), contributing to its timeless, tranquil atmosphere. Game of Thrones fans will recognize it as a filming location for Kings Landing.
