Mausoleum of Mohammed V
The Mausoleum of Mohammed V is a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture housing the remains of King Mohammed V and his sons King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah. Completed in 1971 after ten years of construction under Vietnamese architect Vo Toan, the building features a majestic green dome, walls of Italian white marble, and exquisite traditional Moroccan ornamentation. Royal guards in traditional red and green uniforms stand watch. Visitors can view the interior from an upper gallery overlooking the tombs.
