Masca Village
Masca Village is one of the most thrilling locations on Tenerife, perched at 600 meters elevation deep within the rugged Teno Mountains. For centuries the village was completely isolated and reachable only on foot. Today a narrow, winding road leads there offering spectacular views of deep ravines. The true highlight is the Masca Gorge — a 4.5-kilometer trail descending 600 meters through towering rock walls down to the ocean. The hike takes approximately three hours and only 125 people per day are permitted to enter the gorge. Pre-booking through the official website is mandatory. Upon reaching the beach, a boat returns hikers to Los Gigantes. The village itself offers small cafes and a magnificent viewpoint over the valley and Atlantic Ocean beyond.
