Marienbrücke
Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge) is the legendary spot for the perfect Neuschwanstein Castle photograph. This narrow metal bridge hangs 90 metres above the Pöllat Gorge, offering a direct view of the castle that has become Germany's most iconic image. Built in 1866 and named after King Ludwig II's mother. Access is free with no ticket required. Reachable on foot from parking lot P4 (45 minutes uphill) or by shuttle bus (€3.50 one-way, €5 round trip).
