Major's Hill Park
Major's Hill Park is a historic park in the heart of downtown Ottawa offering stunning views of Parliament Hill, the Château Laurier, and the Rideau Canal. Established in 1874, it is Ottawa's oldest park and was once the site of Colonel John By's house, founder of the canal. The park features wooded pathways, gardens, and historic monuments including the Samuel de Champlain statue. It hosts Canada Day celebrations and the Canadian Tulip Festival.
